*Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There is not enough reliable information about the safety of taking damiana if you are pregnant or breast feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use. Diabetes: Damiana might affect blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Watch for signs of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) and monitor your blood sugar carefully if you have diabetes and use damiana. Taking medications for diabetes along with damiana may cause blood sugar levels to go too low. Surgery: Since damiana seems to affect blood glucose levels, there is a concern that it might interfere with blood glucose control during and after surgery. Stop using damiana at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery. Always err on the side of caution when taking any herbs. Do not use if you have allergies to other members of the Asteraceae family

100% Organic Ingredients List:

  • Damiana Leaf

  • Horsetail

  • Whole Chamomile Flowers

  • Whole Heather Flowers

  • Ginger Root

  • Lemon Peel

Directions:

For your best cup of tea, we start with spring water and boil it the "old-fashioned way", on our stovetop. While your water is boiling, using your tea ball: scoop one measure of your loose-leaf tea and place it into your favorite mug. Remove boiling water from stovetop and pour over your herbs until mug is full. Let leaves steep for 3 - 4 minutes. Any longer and the leaves start to turn bitter. Feel free to add milk or sweetener as desired. Our preference is a High-Active Raw Manuka Honey with an active 15+ or more. (We'll explain that in a later blog). Local honey works really well too, especially if you fight seasonal allergies! Sip and enjoy the aromatic qualities and beneficial properties of each herb incorporated into your Noble Tea Blend. Also, please note, that herbs only used one time in a brew is not enough. You can use these herbs up to three times. Sure, the tea will get weaker with each use but there are still medicinal qualities left in those herbs.

Damiana Leaf acts directly on the reproductive system for both men and women. For men, it stimulates testosterone, fighting impotence and prostate issues. For the ladies, it fights infertility and builds red blood, balances hormones, helps establish healthy menstrual cycles and eases the hormonal transitions experienced in menopause. Damiana is a known aphrodisiac but it doesn't hit hard like a glass of red wine does. Herbal aphrodisiacs work on a much deeper level to bring harmony to your body, making you feel in love with life. Damiana is a nerve tonic which helps strengthen the brain & nervous system, calming the nerves & easing tension headaches. This plant also works on the kidneys too, bringing to them renewed energy.

Horsetail is virtually colorless & odorless. So why is it in your tea? Quite frankly, it's literally our most VIP (Very Important Plant) herb in our pantry. It is one of the richest forms of silica known which can repair all tissues, inside and outside of the body. Aside from the high silica content found in horsetail, it's also just as packed with calcium. This will give life to dull & dry hair, strengthen nails & restore skin tissue. This is definitely a good herb for postmenopausal women; keeping their hair, skin & nails in check! So, if silica can repair tissues and perform tissue repair, that means it's also good for lung disorders and respiratory problems too. Its other virtues include acting as a kidney tonic, immune booster, anti-inflammatory & detoxifier...but here's why it's REALLY here in this blend: In Ayurvedic medicine silicon is valued for its ability to impart "magnetism" to the nerves. This means it bathes your nerves, brain cells, eyes, hair, nails, teeth, skin & all internal body tissues in a pool of silica. Lack of silica can make you feel irritable, edgy & lackluster. But when the body is rich in silica, you sparkle & radiate energy which translates to full body harmony.

Chamomile comes in many different varieties, but medicinally, only two are used: Roman & German. The variety found in this blend is German Chamomile which is thought to be the chamomile of ancient times. It's also the best chamomile to use for a night cap due to its calming nature, providing full relief from muscle aches, arthritic pain and menstrual cramps. Chamomile not only calms, but it also cools and tranquilizes - aiding in deep, natural, sleep. Yes, we said tranquilizes: chamomile relaxes all of the smooth muscles in your body all at once and also relieves the body of spasms, abdominal pain, bloating & gas. Its rich floral note smells similar to apples and we are sure that if you don't love chamomile already, you are certainly going to now.

Heather is a symbol of passionate love, sacrifice & self-control. While reading the book, "The Wisdom of Trees," by Jane Gifford, there was an excerpt that resounded with us here at Noble in regards to Heather: "Heather represents enthusiasm and sensual pleasure, and the benefits that can be enjoyed from spontaneous self-expression. But within this lust for life and exhilaration lies a deeper lesson of the consequences that may arise out of unbridled passion. The Celts believed that you are always totally responsible and accountable for the outcome of your actions, so you were wise to be sure of your own true nature before totally abandoning yourself to the potent delights of heather ale and the pleasures that it could bring. Unchecked, heather is short-lived and unproductive but if burned yearly to the ground, it re-grows with fresh vigor. The lesson of the heather is that a necessary balance must exist between self-expression and self-control for both to be enjoyable and effective." So, although heather is great for inflammation and detox, you find it here simply to remind us about harmonizing in balance.

Ginger Root is warming from head to toe and in this upcoming winter solstice, we're going to need all the warming we can get! It's also prized in love potions for its ability to "heat things up." Ginger warms and comforts the body and imparts renewed circulation throughout. When you feel cold, you feel miserable. When you HAVE a cold, even more misery. But not only does ginger root warm your body, it also lowers cholesterol levels, stabilizes blood pressure and heart functions. It helps in preventing blood clots, reducing the risk of heart attacks & strokes. Many of us travel during the holidays, drink a cup of ginger tea before you fly and it will calm any nervous tension you may feel within, even nausea & motion sickness. Increasing the body's heat also increases metabolism which can help aid in weight control. Chinese herbalists use ginger as a "yang" tonic for spleen energy which can bring the body into a harmonious balance, particularly when working synergistically with all other herbs found in Magnetic Feels.

Lemon Peel gives balance to the blend.
